Abbie Barrett
Abbie Barrett
Abbie Barrett has been featured on CMT’s Cool Album Cuts, Magnet Magazine, Vanyaland, PopMatters, and Performing Songwriter. In 2015, she was nominated for Best Female Vocalist and won a Boston Music Award for Best Songwriter. Her music falls somewhere between pop, rock, and a little strangeness, yielding songs that are exciting, unique, and unpredictable—but always something you can sing along to. In April, she and her band will launch the premiere of the AB Sides, a series of two tracks released every few months.

Minky Starshine
Minky Starshine
MINKY STARSHINE hovers alongside the sweetest sounds of the powerpop soundscape. This band is much more than four pretty faces who write sugar pop melodies mixed with the 70's/80's inspired rock and roll radio they grew up on. In 2006, their majestic pop anthems shot heart-shaped arrows straight from their hips into the hearts of their audiences. They spent the year supporting their debut release, "Hooray for L.A.", which was produced & engineered by Ken Stringfellow (Posies, R.E.M., Big Star).

Their sophomore release, Unidentified Hit Record, is the album they've been long threatening to make: a towering mountain of melody & pop production that was both lament & celebration. The refined studio line-up featured Mike Musburger (Posies, Fastbacks) on drums this time around. Recorded primarily by x-Hot Rod Circuit, Michael Poorman at Strangeways Recording in Providence, R.I., Minky also teamed up with pal Ken Stringfellow (Posies, Big Star) in Paris, France at Le Domicile Studio, and with Chris Manning (Jellyfish, Guster) at Salamander Sound in California.
Sonically grander than previous Minky Starshine records, 2012's "Womanity" is tightly arranged and produced, delivering bursts of warmth and color from start to finish. Drawing upon the classic powerpop running through their blood, Minky and his camp of lovelorn bandits pulled out all the stops this third time around. The newest addition of drummer John Sands (Aimee Mann, Liz Phair) and Tracy Bonham (vocals/violin) is combined with a soundscape of horns, synths and other oddball blips and bleeps. Womanity was produced by Anthony Resta (Duran Duran, Elton John) at Bopnique Musique and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Dandy Warhols, Lady Gaga) at Sterling Sound, NY.

Guest musicians/collaborators have included Ducky Carlisle, Ken Stringfellow, Roger Joseph Manning Jr., Mike Musburger, Marc Hickox, John Sands, Richard Gates, Tracy Bonham, Mike Levesque, Dana Colley, Jeff Calder, Chris Cugini, Paul Myers, Phil Aiken, Brian King, Amber Casares, Sean McLaughlin, Steve Sadler, Drew Townson, Michelle Lewis, Larissa Maestro, Adam Olendorff.
