Eddie Japan has marched across five-years as one of the Northeast’s most acclaimed bands. Accolades include a Boston Music Award, a crown in the prestigious Boston Rock & Roll Rumble (whose previous winners include ‘TilTuesday, The Sheila Divine, and Dresden Dolls), their 2015 single “Albert” appearing on the popular music video game Rock Band 4, a tour with Martha Davis and the Motels, and stages shared with The Fixx, Midge Ure, Will Dailey, Ruby Rose Fox, Kingsley Flood, Air Traffic Controller, plus many more. In July of 2017 they released their highly anticipated debut full-length album, Golden Age, co-produced by Greg Hawkes, keyboardist for the legendary Boston band The Cars, and recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2018 inductees. Golden Age was nominated for a 2017 Boston Music Award for 'Album of the Year.'
The Devil's Twins
Catchy, yet haunting, dueling vocals by Nikki Coogan and Jeremiah Louf— atop a wall of sound generated by only one guitar is what defines the unique sound of the Boston-based duo The Devil’s Twins. The press and their underground cult following—The 2crew—describe their sound as “noir punk”.
In support of their two underground releases—2013’s “Old Fashioned Mischief” and 2015’s “Consequences”—the Twins have shared the stage with acts such as July Talk (Island Records), Barrence Whitfield & The Savages (Bloodshot Records), and legendary punk groups such as The Addicts, The Misfits and The Casualties. They’ve gained a reputation for being an extremely high energy spectacle touching on a wide range of emotions; from explosive anger tantrums—beating guitars and tambourines into the stage—to whiskey-soaked, old-fashioned rock’n'roll foot stompers, all while keeping it light between songs with playful banter between the trio and the crowd.
After winning the Boston Music Award for Indie/Rock Artist of the Year 2016 (as well as a nomination for Live Artist of the Year) and their latest release titled "AMERICAN NOIR VOL. 1" for August 2017 featuring Rock/Hip-Hop crossover track "SATAN STONE" featuring the rapper/actor SLAINE, The Twins set their sights on the Boston Music Awards 2017; Nominated for Rock Artist of the Year, Music Video of the Year (Unsigned) and a class of 2017 617Sessions artist.
The Grownup Noise
Since releasing their self-titled debut in 2007, The Grownup Noise have evolved into a rousing and innovative pop-music outfit, bridging the gap between Americana music and Indie Rock. With a genuine respect for every style of music, this band and its songwriter, Paul Hansen, are song obsessed. And happy to garner quotes like this from The Onion A.V. Club: "The Grownup Noise's best asset, however is the songwriting, with lines of love and the changing seasons coming out as gently and colorful as the music itself". Or this from The Boston Globe: "One of Boston's most promising outfits...a sense of sincerity, wonder, and poetry beats at the heart of skewed folk-pop songs". After numerous sold-out shows and national tours, they've had the honor of sharing stages with everyone from Tommy Stinson of The Replacements, Aimee Mann, Counting Crows and Evan Dando to Thao With The Get Down Stay Down, Lee Fields, Rebirth Brass Band, and comedian Patton Oswalt. Their music has been featured on MTV, NPR, Netflix, and several documentary films. People often ask about the name, The Grownup Noise is something to rebel against, like fear, complacency, the closing of your heart, the stress of bills etc.
Analog Heart, a vocal powerhouse, guitar-driven, genre-colliding rock and roll band, threatens to take over New England with their latest 2016 release, 'Sun Here I Come.' Analog Heart seamlessly combines alt-rock, pop, blues, alt-country, and R+B, among many other musical styles with jaw-dropping live performances that will take you on an unforgettable hypnotizing musical journey.
