Destruction and melody, acid wit and bruising vocals-this is the Pack A.D. Singer/guitarist Becky Black and drummer Maya Miller have made a sound so gigantic, so fierce and raw and empowering, that it's easy to forget there are just two people behind this brilliant, carefully constructed havoc. Shredding and pounding their way through every song, the Pack A.D. swallows you whole inside their fearless Franken-blend of heavy psychpop/garage-rock. Their lyrics are wild nests, human and complex: darkly funny disclosures about depression; indictments of digital excess; grief-stricken fire bombs; sly crusades against stupidity. New Record, DOLLHOUSE, out now.

The Pack A.D. is also one of Canada's "must-see" bands. Be it a massive stadium or the slightly seedy bar where everybody's shoes stick to the carpet, the Pack A.D. have owned every spotlight and stolen every show they've ever played. Becky and Maya are relentless and riveting, playing with the kind of fuck-off freedom that makes everybody in the room vicarious rock stars, even if it's just for the night.

The Gala
The Gala
In March of 2016, Boston's bombastic garage rock n' roll band The Gala appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Accompanied by the premiere of the single "November" on Boston Emissions with Anngelle Wood (100.7 WZLX), recorded to 2" tape a couple weeks prior at Zippah Studios, they made their debut on air at 91.5 WMFO and announced a number of dates to follow. Quickly concocting an incredibly powerful and dynamic set of material that is relentlessly frenetic, audacious and charismatic, managing to stay unflinchingly cool while belting out a blur of caustic sincerity. Releasing their single on 7" vinyl and for download through Dead Beat Records and Hi Fi Hepcat Press.

They have managed to build a hype for themselves with a year packed full of fun-loving, energetic, fuzz-drenched shows in support of their single and it's video. Now kicking off 2017 with the release of their frenzied sermon of rock n' roll titled the Pucker Up EP through Cryptic Carousel and Hi Fi Hepcat Press, there's no telling what debaucherous exploits will come next!
