Partner is funny, but not a joke. Gay but not for each other.
Partner is the "mature" effort of best friends Josée Caron and Lucy Niles from East Coast Canada. Live they are a 5-piece and they shred.
Influenced by Melissa Etheridge, Ween, kd lang, and Prince, Partner delivers a refreshing and vital twist on a classic, prompting you to re-think what you thought was possible in Rock.
Their action-packed live set has led them to be named the "best new band in Canada" in the Globe and Mail. Their debut album (In Search of Lost Time 2017) made NPR's All Songs Considered, Stereogum, Noisey, Exclaim, CBC Music, Playboy and many more best of 2017 lists.

Partner is genre-defying and terrifying: part musical act, part teenage diary, and 100% queer.

Partner is funny, but not a joke. Gay but not for each other, as their Instagram tagline reads.

Partner is the "mature" effort of two best friends named Josée Caron and Lucy Niles from small town East Coast Canada. Borne of their bizarre and fortuitous friendship, Partner confidently harnesses the infinite power of Rock to explore a variety of niche yet strangely universal themes. Self described as post-classic-rock. Live they are a 5-piece and they shred.

Influenced by acts as varied as Melissa Etheridge, Ween, kd lang, and Prince, Partner delivers a refreshing and vital twist on a classic, prompting you to re-think what you thought was possible in Rock.

Their enthusiastic and action-packed live set has led them to be named the "best new band in Canada" in the Globe and Mail.

Birdwatching
Birdwatching
"Birdwatching...are rather quickly becoming one of the most must-see bands in or around Boston. The threesome play a high-energy indie rock style that's equal parts earnest and vulnerable. They dub themselves 'nervous underdog pop' and that seems to be pretty accurate, although perhaps not quite as accurate as how my ten year old sums up the sound of Birdwarching's latest EP, Night Physics -- 'these guys are really good. They're interesting, because they're loud, but they're not like RAH-RAH-RAH-RAH loud like a lot of other rock bands.'"

"From Boston, Mass. This solid indie rock band's ep Night Physics came out this past summer. 3 piece unit James, Andrea & Alex have a really well put together sound with a female lead vocal and nice harmonies."
Birdwatching, comprised of James (percussion), Andrea (vocals/bass), and Alex (guitar/vocals) had some success last year with their three-song EP Hard Feelings. Less than a year later they are back with a worthy Follow up entitled Night Physics. The band builds on their chemistry they displayed on Hard Feelings.

The songs are fun, fast and catchy. They keep it simple, embracing an early '90s no frills alternative vibe. The hooks are the best I heard from the band so far.

...The songs on this EP are tight with no extra fat. They feel like a full three-piece which I will say is at least partially due to the fantastic drumming. This band continues to flourish in recent years and seem to be hitting their stride."
